What Highground is worth.

An estimate of Highground as it stands in Alpha V9 (October 2026), based on the size of the build, comparable market pricing, and private SaaS valuation multiples.

Cost to build today$2.5M – $4M

About 12–16 person-years of work. A team of 9–10 would need 14–18 months to reach the current build.

Sale value as is$0.8M – $2M

Pre-revenue sale of the platform and IP to a strategic buyer, typically 25–50% of replacement cost.

Valuation at 20 enterprise clients$10M – $30M

$2.4M–$3M in annual recurring revenue at 4–10× ARR, depending on growth and retention.

Who I am

Houston-raised. Austin-based.

I grew up in Houston, Texas, and now call Austin home. I'm on the autism spectrum (Level 1 ASD), and I've always found peace in building things and understanding exactly how and why they work.

That's a big part of why I taught myself to code, and it's how I work today. I didn't come up through a traditional engineering path. I learned by doing, and when I take on a project, I build it from nothing to the very end with all the focus and precision I have.

What I've built

A decade of building on the front lines.

For more than ten years I've worked in intelligence and security operations across government and the private sector: as a contractor with the National Security Agency supporting counterterrorism missions, with the Dallas Police Department and federal task forces, and leading security operations and fusion centers at Tesla and Dell Technologies. Along the way, I built the systems those teams ran on.

Predictive OSINT system

An open-source intelligence system that harnesses analysis to track the movements of terrorist organizations and predict where they'll go next.

Counter-drone program

Counter-drone operations built from the ground up to protect a 2,500-acre Fortune 100 manufacturing site.

Automated dispatch application

An internal dispatch application with built-in automation for security operations and investigations.

Enterprise risk intelligence

Integration and configuration of risk intelligence and alerting SaaS platforms, including AlertMedia, Everbridge, and Ontic, for Fortune 100 companies.

Why I build

Tools built by someone who's been there.

I kept running into the same problem: the tools teams depend on in a crisis were rarely built by people who had worked one. So I started building them myself, and today that work continues with Highground Global Intelligence, the enterprise platform I'm building now.

Keasling Engineering is me

When you hire Keasling Engineering, you get me.

No account managers, no handoffs, and no one learning on your project. The person you talk to on the first call is the person who designs, builds, and launches your software.

DIRECT LINE

One point of contact

You work with me from the first conversation to launch and beyond. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson and a developer.

OPERATOR'S PERSPECTIVE

I've worked the problem

I've sat in SOCs and fusion centers during real crises, so I build for how your team actually works under pressure.

BUILT TO THE END

Nothing left half-done

I build every project from nothing to the very end, with the focus and precision I'd want in my own tools.

Nobody handed me a playbook or took the time to explain the why and the how. So I started building. One tool, one system, one platform at a time, until I had written the playbooks myself.Chris Keasling, Founder
